Frequently Asked Questions

What do checkups cover?

Your checkup will include a look at the overall state of your mouth, a thorough cleaning, and your dentist checking for cavities or other signs for concern. This should only take about 45 minutes of your day, including intensive professional cleaning. During your cleaning, your teeth will be polished. Checkups are the best way to keep your oral health under control while watching out for early signs of oral health issues.

How often should you have your teeth cleaned?

You should have your teeth cleaned at least once a year, but every six months is preferrable. If you have a history of oral diseases you should have your teeth cleaned more often.

I’m a bit nervous. How can I prepare for my cleaning?

Not to worry! To make our patients as comfortable as possible, we’re happy to accommodate you with an office tour prior to your first visit. This lets you get a feel for the office and gives you an opportunity to meet the dentist who will be helping you maintain your oral hygiene. We also offer sedation options and a number of amenities designed to help you have the most comfortable experience possible.
