A Complete Smile Makeover

The top priority for dental work will always be the everyday function and quality of your oral health. However, we know how important it is to our patients’ self-confidence to have a smile that they love. That’s why we offer custom cosmetic dentistry treatment to give patients the option of a makeover purely focused on aesthetics. Schedule a consultation, find your fit, and walk out with a newfound reason to smile.

What Is Cosmetic Dentistry?

Traditional dentistry primarily focuses on keeping up the health of your teeth and gums through everyday care or the treatment of disease. On the other hand, cosmetic dentistry is only focused on the appearance of teeth and gums. Cosmetic dentistry does not actively treat any disease or oral ailment.

Is Cosmetic Dentistry Right for You?

Cosmetic dentistry is a personal choice. A dentist may recommend certain dental practices to improve the health of your mouth, but you’ll need to ask your dentist if there is something about the appearance of your smile you’d like to change. Cosmetic dentistry may be for you if you have:

  • Missing teeth
  • Cracked teeth
  • Discoloration
  • Tooth gaps
  • Crooked teeth

What’s the Purpose of Cosmetic Dentistry?

Common reasons someone may opt for cosmetic dentistry may be:

  • Increased confidence
  • Less self-consciousness
  • Better shape and appearance of smile
  • Replacement of missing teeth
  • Teeth brightening

Cosmetic dentistry options

Types of Cosmetic Dentistry We Offer

There are seven main kinds of sedation dentistry we offer: veneers, implants, gum contouring, bonding, whitening, bridges, and orthodontics. A dentist can help you choose based on your unique preferences.

Veneers

Veneers are made out of resin or porcelain shells that are bonded to the teeth using a shell cover. Our custom-made veneers cover the front part of your tooth to create a natural smile and improve its appearance.

Implants

An alternative to dentures, dental implants are like artificial tooth roots. These are secured to your jawbone and become bonded with your mouth to replace missing or functionally damaged teeth.

Gum Contouring

Our dentists use gum contouring to reshape the gum line to improve the look of your smile. Oftentimes a patient may opt for gum contouring if they have noticeably prominent gums when they smile that cover the lips.

Bonding

Bonding is a cheaper alternative to some other cosmetic dentistry options with its composite resin material and simple procedure. Teeth bonding can be used to apply tooth-colored composite resin to your teeth to repair and conceal damage.

Whitening

A whiter smile has been shown to boost self-esteem and confidence in many patients. Our dentists can help you achieve a whiter smile with our in-office and take-home whitening options. We may perform in-house bleaching, UV therapy, or a less-invasive take-home strip.

Bridges

If you have space between your teeth, a bridge can “bridge the gap” with a crown restoration procedure. Bridges can also be used to fill gaps where you have missing teeth, and are custom-made for your teeth.

Orthodontics

Our custom orthodontic services are used to help correct your bite alignment and straightening of the teeth. Common orthopedic options may include braces or Invisalign aligners.

Advantages of Cosmetic Dentistry

The key advantage of cosmetic dentistry is increased self-esteem and smile satisfaction. We know that dentistry goes beyond the necessary tooth and gum health and that sometimes we just want to feel more confident in ourselves.

Disadvantages of Cosmetic Dentistry Procedures

Before undergoing any dental procedure, all disadvantages must be evaluated such as:

  • Possible lack of insurance coverage
  • Treatment may be irreversable
  • Treatment may require extra at-home care
  • Treatment may require more dental check-ups
  • Replacement may be needed
